{Happy Release Day + Romance Review} Tamed (Club Sin #5) by Stacey Kennedy

Tamed (Club Sin, #5)
USA Today bestselling author Stacey Kennedy returns to the tantalizing world of Club Sin in an enticing novel of control and surrender.

Porter Marshall has nearly achieved his goal of becoming a Club Sin Master, but his new sub poses a much bigger challenge than he anticipated. Despite their mutual attraction and red-hot dungeon sessions, Kenzie Hart plays her own games. Her bratty, you-can’t-break-me attitude masks terrible personal hurt—pain that only the exquisite touch of a skilled Dom can release. But when Porter suggests taking their connection to the outside world, Kenzie denies him . . . which only makes him want her more.

Kenzie can’t ignore the raw, fierce bond she has with Porter. But she can’t give in to his dangerous demands, either. Is the passion they share real, or is he using her to solidify his status at Club Sin? And yet, who else can she trust with the shattering secrets she holds within? As Porter expertly brings her to the point of no return, Kenzie surrenders her body—and, piece by piece, her heart.

Sweet and hot. A brat who isn't really a brat and a Master who sees through her facade.

Kenzie is an expert at keeping people at a distance. She's all for sex but intimacy is a different story. She's challenging, defiant, and undoubtedly strong. She's endured great loss in her life and the pleasure and punishment she receives at the club helps her deal. Her bratty persona at the club is just that, in real life she's really warm and kind. Kenzie shows growth over the story. She doesn't need a man to fix her, although she never thought she needed someone to fix her, but she does realize that she can change things in her life that aren't making her happy.

Porter is a great hero. He is strong yet sensitive, he's an alpha male and gentle protector. Porter is the only one who sees her, sees that she's trying to hide, knows that there's a big chasm between what she wants and what she needs. He completely focuses on breaking down all her walls, earning Kenzie's trust and her heart.

The first night of their arrangement surprises both Porter and Kenzie. With their first touch, first kiss, Porter knows there's something special about Kenzie and Kenzie realizes that Porter is different from every other Master. She tries all her usual tricks but Porter is ready and a step ahead of her. I enjoyed watching them battle, both emotionally and sexually. I did think that Kenzie got more out of their relationship than Porter did; I wanted a bit more equality in their relationship.

The pacing was great, the storyline keeping my attention, and I found it a quick read. Although Tamed is book five in the Club Sin series you can certainly jump into the series without reading any of the previous books.
